Hey @lil_jaz_,

If you're travelling away from your home and your client's home overnight for work, then you'll be able to claim a deduction for the expenses you've incurred. e.g., accommodation, meals, and other expenses which are incidental to the travel.

You may like to read more about the direct carer expenses that you can and can't claim as a deduction on our website.

In addition to the previous question you answered can you please advise if a support worker who is taking a client away for their holiday can we claim expenses such as the following:

  • Expenses they have incurred from paying for activities for their client to attend? eg: movie theatres or things like such for entertainment.
  • Fuel expenses
