Hi,

We got our PR visa (189 visa) last 2021 and but haven’t settled in Australia because of the pandemic and we still had to settle some properties and businesses in the Philippines.

We’re currently in the process of selling properties and businesses and once we closed it out, we’ll be moving the to Australia. My question is, what oyher documents/process do i need to go thru transfer money here? Because i’m a looking at 550,000 to 600,000 AUD

Hi @Jpfcalderon

We wouldn’t generally consider the transfer of money from one personal account held overseas to another personal account in Australia as income for Australian tax purposes.

We do advise you keep records of the money transfer, but you don’t need to provide these to us, unless we asked for them.

We have a similar post on our community page Bringing Money into Australia that may provide so additional information for you.
