It doesn't sound like you can claim laundry. The types of clothing you can claim cleaning expenses are ones you'd be able to claim claim the costs for.

Footwear falls under protective clothing. It can be a deduction if it protects you from real and likely risk of illness from your work activities or work environment. You must be able to support a link between your work-related activities and the risk it presents.
