My amended tax return is “Under Review” from last 46 days. The original return took a long to settle because of being “Under Review”. Unfortunately I had to file an amendment and now its stuck at that status. I called customer care two weeks ago but didn’t get any help. It’s alretbeyond ATO’s usual 30 days timeline. What can I do now?

There isn't a set time-frame we can provide when your return is under review. It depends on what we're reviewing. Often we're waiting for info from third parties. You can check with our lodgement team to follow up.

In some cases, it can take longer to process when it's under review.
This is because we are manually reviewing the details provided. We may be checking your past returns and information with other government agencies.
There isn't a way this process can be "fast tracked". If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please have a look at our website for further assistance.
