I am employed as a full-time employee on a salary. In my own time I provide freelance graphic design work under my own ABN. I have about 2 or 3 regular clients and the annual income I get is around $8,000. I checked the PSI results test and I am 1) paid to produce a result 2) provide my own computer and software to complete the result and 3) If I make an error on the work I correct it at my own cost. This would seem to suggest that I should put the freelance income in my tax return at the Business income or loss section. Is this correct?
