I am thinking of moving some of my super funds from my RSE to a SMSF, and then use the SMSF to buy a property in an area which I expect will be high returns in the future for investment purposes. I intend to rent out the property for the entire period I hold it.

Is this okay to do? What are the limitations and regulatory requirements?

I know a few SMSF advertise this as a 'can do' but...I'm dubious as the info on the gov website doesn't even mention this as a legal option for early access to your fund.

I am in my mid 40s, working full time, not in any financial hardship.
