I'm new to Australia and not very familiar with the superannuation system. When my former employer asked me to join their superannuation I didn't know that I would have to create a new one for my next employer. So I provided my former employer's superannuation thinking it was mine to my new employer. I left my old employer 6 months ago and I have been with my new one for 5 months. I no longer have contact with me. former employer so no way to resolve the problem amicably.

Hi @legrosaxel75013

Great News. Generally, as a new employee you are eligible to choose a super fund. If you choose to keep the same Super fund from your prior employment that is ok, your new employer will accept this.

Check out further info here about your Choice of Super Fund.
