I had cleaners come to my home for 6 months and never once received an invoice. The cleaners were being paid by their boss but I never received an invoice and I'm not sure what more to do. I have attempted to call on multiple occasions and she never picks up so I leave voice messages, I have sent multiple texts requesting invoices and never get one, she flat out ignores that part of the message.

Am I just super lucky or what on earth is happening? We have cancelled future cleans as we are expecting a $1k+ bill at this point but as I've requested invoices and 28 days have passed multiple times, can she invoice me? Also will I be expected to pay in 7 days? Any info anyone has would be helpful in this very strange situation.

Hello @Shelbyalyzabeth,

When a business is registered for GST they're required to provide you with a tax invoice within 28 days. If they do not supply you with one and you're wanting to claim the GST then you'll need to send a request through the portal to us. However, if this is just a normal supply of service then I'd suggest sending them a formal request for an invoice of services. They can't really demand payment if they haven't provided you with the correct information and documentation for the service they have provided. Lastly you could seek more assistance within your state from the where to go for help page on the ACCC website.
