Yes, how you lodge this info through your tax return is very important.
You can claim a deduction for the amount of the contribution stated on the Notice of intent.
This must be claimed at Personal Super contributions.
This will be how we tie it all together.
So, you make your contribution, and you lodge your Notice of intent with the superfund within the required timeframe.
The Superfund acknowledges the Notice of Intent.
They report that to us.
Then you claim this as a deduction in your tax return.
All these steps need to be actioned.
So, the contributions are allocated correctly.
As long as you can see there's enough room in your cap.
There should be nothing you need you to worry about.
