I'm a sole trader and for the life of the business have been purchasing between $50 and $100 gift cards for staff at the institutions who regularly supply me work and also select clientele.

I'm wondering, is there a limit to the amount of gift cards a sole trader can claim for these purposes?

Hi @SoletraderJT,

There isn't a limit to the number of gift cards you can give. As long as the gift cards you are gifting are not classed as entertainment. They would be tax deductible.
