What if someone who works as an employee but at the same time deals in crypto & similar shares regularly through the year & in the future as well to make a profit from these activities? So how are these side activities identified? Do we consider any income from Crypto & shares as a trader/trading income (ordinary income) or can these activities be seen as an investor (where capital gains benefits can be used if assets are disposed of after 1 year)?

You're more likely to be considered an investor, meaning it's subject to CGT. It's rare to be considered a trade/crypto trading business. Have a look through the link below for more information.
