l am on the disabilty pension as my only income and pay no tax, if l were to get a part time job and earn under $18,200 in addition to my pension would l still not have to pay tax?
If you are under pension age (67) then your DSP is tax exempt and is not assessable (taxable) income. You can have assessable income (from a job or investments) up to the tax free threshold ($18200) without having that income taxed. Probably even more (depending on what tax offsets you are entitled to) before you would pay any tax.
