Hello, I am a UK citizen who is now back in the UK after working in Australia for several years. I have discovered that my super from my time in Australia has been transferred to the ATO, and I believe I am eligible to apply for the DASP to claim it. However, the DASP online application information states that the money would be "made direct to an Australian financial institution account where the ATO holds valid financial institution account details for you". I no longer have a bank account in Australia. Is it essential to have an Australian account to receive the money, or is there an alternative way to be paid any super that I successfully reclaim?

ATO-held super can only be paid via an Australian bank account in your name or a cheque. If you're issued with a cheque and you have issues with your overseas bank you can speak with our Super team to see what they suggest.

Hi. I've done some research, and it seems that my UK bank won't accept an Australian cheque. Who can I speak to for advice about this (is there someone from the Super team you recommend I contact?)?
