I forgot to ask one question.
I am looking at purchasing a property under the Farmland GST Exemption.
I am leasing the property back to the seller at no charge so he will be the one “carrying on a farming business on the land” and his cattle will keep the grass under control).
i understand I do not have to be registered for GST.
My question is:
As I am not deriving any income from the property, do I need to have an ABN (I don’t think I would be eligible for an ABN as I’m not running a business and I’m not deriving any income)?
