ive tried applying but whenever i get up to the applicant information part. I get the error 'Your identity has not been confirmed - please check you have entered your details correctly. If you have entered your details correctly please save this application and check the details held with ATO or ASIC before proceeding. Your application will be refused if your identity cannot be confirmed.' Could someone please help me fix this or at least help me find a way to get it to work.

Hello @BradleyM,

The basic restriction of getting an ABN is that you need to have a tax record first which means applying for a tax file number. The error that you have coming up is because the details you are entering are not matching what is stored in our system.

If you believe that your details are correct then it may be that you haven't provided us with enough details for our system to be able to verify you. Do you by chance have access to myGov and ATO Online Services as this would be the easiest way to confirm your details are correct. If would also be the easiest way to correct them if they are incorrect or if no details exist.
