Just wondering because I read the asset test and I already have a laptop which will power my monitor but I feel like I can't deduct the cost of a mouse, monitor and keyboard each separately because they would be considered a set.
is this true

Yes - monitors are not part of a set, like chairs.
They've always been independent purchases for me with the exception of once when a keyboard and mouse were a pair in the one box. Each of my three monitors was a separate purchase.
Thank you, that makes sense.
So did you buy the 3 monitors separately during one year?
Because lets say I need 2 monitors and I need to buy each one separately for this year (obviously not in a bundle) so I spend less than <300 on each one.
Will that be tax deductible?
