Hello, my daughter changed her middle name recently and has not been able to login to MyGov to complete her tax return. MyGov says her identity cannot be confirmed. She has tried calling the ATO for the last week but cannot get through. What steps does she need to take to update MyGov and lodge her tax return? thanks

At what stage is your daughter having issues with logging in? Is it the initial part of logging into myGov or is it after you have logged in and trying to access a us under services?
The general answer is that you will need to get your daughter to update her new name details with both Centrelink and us so that they match. This is the usual reason why people are unable to use services. The name needs to match across all the government agencies you interact with.
