If my employer allows me to take my long service leave as a cash payment, do I get the super for this leave. Remembering that I still work for this employer and have not terminated my employment, i'm only getting a cash payment rather than taking the leave. Do I also get a lump sum cash payment into my super?

Hiya @lukelukeluk1985 👋

Yes, cashout of leave in service is superable, unlike unused leave on termination that is not superable. As per ATO SGR 2009/2 P36.

I assume you are in one of the state/territories that permits LSL to be cashed out? Not all state/territories do (such as NSW)

While remaining employed, I'll get cash for my long-service-leave, does it include the super ontop? | ATO Community
