I’v been employed almost 1 year on march as a full-time and just turned 19 last October, I saw my work mates payslip and noticed that I’m paying more than tax than him we both work 38 a week and same hourly rate. I get taxed $100+ different more than him. Anyone can explain to me?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @Benn,

You can check your pays against the tax tables to see if you are being taxed correctly. The reason you have more being withheld is that you may have marked down that you have a HELP loan on your withholding declaration. Other than that you can always ask your employer why you are having more tax withheld, it may be a general error which they can rectify.
