The indexation rates https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/study-and-training-support-loans-indexation-rates don't match with inflation rates https://www.rba.gov.au/inflation/measures-cpi.html. On the ATO website it says it used the march CPI, but over the last 3 years they were 1.1%, 5.1%, 7.0%. Which CPI does the indexation use?

Hi @ASX_gambler
The web page you refer to states that the indexation is calculated after the March CPI is released, using data collected over two years (i.e. the past 8 quarters CPI data).
To see the calculation you can visit Factor to Index an Accumulated HELP, VETSL, TSL or Financial Supplement Debt 2023
