I'm currently working as a contractor skippering 2 different vessels, doing 2 different types of positions, with different ways of payment for the same employer.

1st is a ferry, on an hourly rate a couple of times a week.

2nd is Commercial fishing and research charters, on a % of profit.

Boat and all equipment supplied by the employer.

My question is...Do I make voluntary contributions or am I classed as an employee for superannuation purposes even though I'm using my own ABN?

I'm already working out how much tax I should be paying and putting my tax into a separate account.
