Hello,
My employee is under the Clerks-Private Sector Award 2020 (MA000002). The award says that they get an allowance of $0.95 per business-related km. However, the ATO website says the rate is $0.85 per business-related km. Which rate do I use?

@MBrown17, refer to this post that expands on how the c/km allowances are paid. You report the full amount of income and the employee claims their deduction. Deanne
In this case the award rate, as that is a condition of employment and is payable under the award.
Hi Kev,
Thank you!
Someone in my office said that if I pay her the ATO award rate ($0.85), she can claim the $.10 through Tax. Is this correct?
