I understand that travel expenses relating to a residential investment property held within an SMSF are not tax deductible. However, I have read from multiple sources that while these costs are not deductible, the SMSF can still pay for these costs.


Is this true? If so, under what grounds?

Beware of the sole purpose test.


You should not do this without getting proper advice first.
