Hello, I hope you can help me


I live in the UK and I have got a job in an Australian University. The job is remote so I will be living in the UK. I have sent my paperwork to apply for my TFN two weeks ago to this address:

Australian Taxation Office

PO Box 9942

MOONEE PONDS VIC 3039

However, it is says on the parcel tracking that it was delivered on the 2 February to this address:

CANBERRA GPO POST SHOP

Please, could you help me with that? I am very worried in case it is lost. The documents sent are very important. I am starting my job on the 15th February.

Don't be worried, we'll receive it.


TFN applications can take up to 28 days to be processed from the time that we receive it. As soon as we have it and it's processed, we will send the TFN notification to the address you provided on the application.


If you haven't received it by the time, you start work, you'll need to let your employer know that you have applied and you're waiting for it to be processed.

Hello! I call them and I do not have the TFN yet. They say I am not on the system so I am not sure where my documents are. What I do not understand is why it is says that it has been delivered

I delivered them to:Australian Taxation Office
