I've had my tax file number since I was a teenager and then made my MyGov AFTER changing my legal name and gender. Since the name listed on my tax file number is my old name I cannot connect it to the MyGov, and all the methods of updating my ATO details tell me to do it through MyGov.
I've tried calling, but the call centers send me to forms and websites that just say to use the MyGov. I have all the documents I need to update the name but nowhere to sent them too. I finally started getting somewhat reliable work last year, and I'm reaching the point where I need to start declaring things but I can't because all my invoices are made to my new name and ABN and all the websites I try refuse to accept them with my tax file number.
Is there an email I can contact? Or physical locations I can visit? What should I do?
