Tolls are not allowable deductions when travelling between work and your regular place of work as it is a private expense. However, are tolls deductible when you are carrying bulky tools or equipment (assuming the trip is deductible) between home and your regular place of work?

As a general rule, you can't claim deductions for the cost of transport when traveling from home to your place of work.
You can however claim a deduction for the cost of trips between home and work if certain conditions are met.
