I am trying to verify birth certificate for mygovid. It's a 1934 WA certificate with a number on the top right hand corner of the certificate. It is only 5 digits so I have inserted 00 in front to make 7 digits. It wasn't accepted. I added 44 in front which is the district of birth and it wasn't accepted either.

Hi @SallieLouise,

WA birth certificates can be a little tricky to verify.

As the certificate is before 26th November 2001, there's a district number, registration number and the requirement to add a zero.

I have included a link to myGovID that helps explain how to enter the numbers correctly.

Hope this helps.
