Congratulations on getting your permanent residency.
If you're being overtaxed, you need to check that your employer has made the updates in their payroll software.
The only way to get a refund is once you lodge your tax return for the current financial year.
Once we've processed your return and if you've overpaid your tax liability, we'll check if you have any debt with us or any other government agency. If all that's good you'll receive a refund.
