I would like start being a mystery shopper. In the information provided from the company is says that I am an indenpendent contractor. Does it mean I need a ABN or can I sign a Statement by Supplier form? Payment is different from assignment to assignment and could be as a purchase allowance. I am not a Australian Citizen but have full working rights if that does make a difference.

There's no right or wrong option, although an ABN is the preferred option for most people.
A statement by supplier is mostly used by people who aren't entitled to ABN.
