I have been contacted by a company that claims I have recieved an ATO default due to a tax debt. I haven't received any notices and can't see anything regarding a default in my business portal. I don't have time to call the ATO and wait to speak to someone, how can I find out more about this? The company says I can do a small business restructure, at a large cost payable to them. Is this a scam?
Do not engage in any dialog with them because its a Scam....
You should always have time to contact the ATO especially when there are so many scams going around, otherwise you could loose a lot of money and only have yourself to blame.
