Hi ATO community,


I have recently sign up for my Foreign Investor account through MygovID. When I successfully registered, my Foreign Investor account is showing my TFN number under my name. However, on the next login, for some reason my account is showing an ARN number under my name. How can I double check whether this is still my account? As now it is showing the ARN number only everytime I login. I cannot find my TFN anywhere.

That's a bit strange!!


You'd be allocated an ARN if you don't have a TFN. If you previously set up your account and used your ARN letter this could be why.


If you've done everything right when setting it up, you may need to speak with our foreign investments team, to make sure you don't have a duplicate record. Meaning 2 accounts have been created under your name one with an ARN and one with a TFN.
