The census date for my university was the 22nd of March, it is now May and it still has not shown up on my ATO account. Why is it taking so long? I tried looking at the tax account summary thing like it was recommended on other people's posts but there is nothing there relating to HECS.
Hello @alicenicholson
There's been a delay with some HELP loan data being transferred to us.
Hopefully it'll be resolved soon, otherwise you can contact:
- Department of Education student enquiry hotline 1800 020 108

Hello,
Your HECS-HELP debt may not appear on your ATO account yet due to processing times. Universities often take weeks after the census date to report to the ATO, and the ATO also needs time to update accounts. Delays can occur due to university reporting [Removed by moderator] schedules or system updates. Contact your university to confirm they have reported your data, and check with the ATO for any processing delays. Keep monitoring your ATO account for updates.
