New Business without registering for gst but sole trader

Hi,

I previously has a business as an electrician, which was registered for GST.

I no longer conduct this business.

I am now looking to start a business as a breeder however, I will not turn over more than 75000 a year and do not want to register for GST as this will affect my business greatly.

How do I register as a sole trader without registering for GST? Is this possible as I already have an ABN which is reg for GST?

If your ABN is active you simply cancel your GST registration.

https://www.ato.gov.au/businesses-and-organisations/gst-excise-and-indirect-taxes/gst/if-your-business-changes-or-ceases/cancelling-your-gst-registration

If your ABN has been cancelled (is inactive) then your GST registration will have been cancelled as well.
