Hi all, I would like to ask about the buyer/sourcing agent fee that I need to pay for someone to help me purchase my products at a wholesale price overseas. These guys are private and I don’t believe they are registered for GST.

How can I claim this fees as they are generally 10%-15% on top of the receipt from the supplier.

For example, the amount I need to transfer to my oversea wholesaler is $1000. I will need to transfer my agent $1100 and they will make the payment to the wholesaler on my behalf.

Am I able to claim the full $1100 while my receipt is only $1000? Thank you all!

Yes, but only if they provide you with an invoice for their charges.
