I will be moving states soon and my full time job can’t accomodate a transfer until later in the year which will require me to take leave without pay for 2 months as I don’t have enough annual leave and I have to move at this time due to unforeseen circumstances, so in this 2 months I will need to seek casual work, will I be taxed on a higher threshold even though I’m not technically being paid by my main job during that 2 months?
Would I be able to claim a tax free threshold on the 2nd job for 2 months if I’m not getting paid from my full time job but I hold a contract and salary of over $19,000?
