I'm paying $1100 on health insurance and now on top of that I'm paying $1,700 to Medicare for sub-par medical service to Drs who don't bulk bill anymore. Why is this not being reduced since Medicare would be spending so much less?
After covid Drs in my city have gone from majority being bulk billed, to now only 2 Drs practices (owned by the same company) that do bulk billing, which you can never get into because they are so busy and you'd be lucky to be in there for more than 5 mins.
I would understand paying the Medicare levy if you could still be using Medicare to pay for medical expenses but just this year I have spent $2000 on very minor appointments and medication (I'm a fairly healthy person but no Dr can figure out what's wrong with me so I have to keep seeing different ones). I am at the stage of just getting scripts online if I can because of how expensive just going to a Dr is.
