To clarify the title question, it used to be years ago I believe, that any courier owner-driver that owned a van or ute and delivering general freight was required to register for GST even if their total income was under $75000. Based on a general internet search is appears this is no longer the case. Can I please get clarification on this?

Hey @Dingo34,

No, you don't have to register for GST if you're under $75,000, even if you're courier owner-driver.

The only time you must register for GST if your turnover is below $75,000 and you're a taxi driver. Or provide ride sharing services such as limousine travel and uber driving services.
