Hi, I am an underaged international student (student visa 500) in Australia whose youtube channel recently hit the monetization criteria. I am planning to sign up for an Adsense account with my parent's information as I am still underaged. However, as I am a resident in Australia (been here for over 6 months), that would mean that I am obliged to pay Australian taxes and if the income were to be sent to my parents it would mean I am breaking the law. Is there a different way to legally collect the profit from my YouTube channel in this situation? Perhaps setting up an Adsense account with my legal guardian?

(FYI: My estimated income would be about 70 - 150 AUD a day)

Hi @Overthinkingboy

That sounds awesome, well done for meeting that criteria!

You're correct you'd need to declare your income you make. How you receive it is a bit out of our scope here to give you advice.

You might want to think about getting advice from a tax professional about the best way to set this up.
