Hi, I've recently started a second job (casual)
I'm not claiming the tax free threshold on this job. I received my first pay slip with a total taxable income of $568.64 but didn't pay any tax on this?
I should have paid tax right? Should I contact my employer and discuss?
If this is a fortnightly pay cycle then $126 should have been withheld.

However, it is often advisable to claim the tax free threshold on the lowest paying job. And not claim it on the highest paying job. If you do it the other way round you can still end up with a tax payable on your tax return. Provide employer a withholding declaration form to change.

I suggest talking to your employer at the second job to ensure you have been setup correctly
Thank you, turns out they had put me in the system as "yes" to claiming the tax free threshold. It's now sorted.
Can I make manual voluntary contributions towards my tax to prevent a debt ? How do I go about doing this?
