Hi

I operates several ebay shops selling basically same stuff. i currently am sole trader. once my turnover is over 75,000 i need to register for GST.

If I setup two companies and trade each ebay account under different company name, the turnover for each entity will be less than 75,000.

will i be considered deliberately avoid paying GST ?

products sold in each store do have some difference and each store has different names.

Hope someone can kindly answer my question.

Hi @Clefairy

If you're controlling both companies, they could be known as connected entities therefore you'd consider the aggregated turnover (income from both companies) for GST.

You can get advice from our GST team to confirm by sending them a secure mail message via online services.
