Just arrived from NZ and have applied for TFN, but I cannot proceed to join a Super fund without providing a TFN, and I start work Wednesday as that’s the start of the employers pay cycle? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Great that you have applied for it!
It's all good you don't need to join a fund until you get your TFN, you have 28 days to give it to your employer. Your employer has until the 28 July to pay your super into a fund. If they have any issues, they should have a default super fund they can pay the money into until you have opened a new account.
