Hello,

I have purchased few stocks two years ago, but consider me as new in stock investment, because from last 1 year I was inactive(didn't purchase anything). I am earning very low amount of dividend from several stocks.

few of the stocks' price is very low right now, and I want to remove it from my portfolio.

Can I offset dividend income with stock losses?

Thank you.

No. You can't claim capital losses off normal income (such as dividends). Losses can only be claimed off capital gains.

If you sell shares at a loss then any loss (after gains) at the end of June 30 is carried forward to use off future gains.
