I'm 16 years old, I got my first job about 6-7 months ago. When I applied/signed my contract, I selected the option to claim an exemption from providing a TFN as I was under 18. Now, at the end of the financial year, I'm wondering how to claim a tax return without one? I was born in Australia, and I have a few things my coworkers say I can claim back, like my $150-$250 steel-capped shoes that I bought for my work. Is this possible or do I need a TFN?

You need a TFN, otherwise your tax return cannot be processed.
