Heyo!

It's my first time doing my tax return, I arrived to Australia for the first time the 14th of May on a Working Holiday visa.

I'm researching on how to properly do my taxes (I did some Door Dash since I got here) and I'm struggling to link to ATO from myGov account.

When "Answering two shared secrets between you and the ATO" I'm checking the following options:

  • Superannuation account details
  • Bank account details

And I'm getting the following errors:

  • For the Super details: "This does not match what is held on ATO records (GFAD03)"
  • For the Bank details: "This does not match what is held on ATO records (APS104)"

I'm probably doing something wrong since this is my first time. I appreciate any help I can get on this matter, and I'll try to reply back as fast as I can!!

I tried doing the linking code before but I failed. I might try that tomorrow in working hours, but I wanted to double check if I'm doing anything wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Rada.

Hi Rada,

As you hven't lodge a tax return before the ATO wouldn't have this information stored in it's systems which is why it wouldn't be verifying.

You will have to contact the call centre and have your identify verified so they can issue you a linking code.

Thanks :)
