Hi,

My rental recently failed the regular gas compliance safety check and I had to replace the pipes which has corroded. Can I claim the total cost as a repair or maintenance item, or do I have to depreciate the total cost over a number of years?

Repair - if the corrosion was not significant when property purchased.
