I'm 59 unemployed with no income at all and have been diagnosed with cancer. I start chemo in couple days than radiation treatment after 9 weeks of chemo I moved in with my daughter I have no money or my own car to get to treatment can I get access to my super to buy car and living expenses?

Sorry to hear about the tough time you're going through.


Our compassionate release does cover medical transport and depending on eligibility we could approve costs for a car. Have a read through these links.


Another option if you can no longer work because of your condition have a look at temporary and permanent incapacity (this is done through your superfund).
