Hi. If I get a flatmate and they pay directly to my bank to help me pay my mortgage do I have to declare this as an income? I'm not making a profit, as it would be a low amount and they would be using all my furniture, and have all free utilities.

Hi @VirginiaBris,
Depending on your relationship with your flatmate, we may view this as a domestic relationship. If that's the case, you wouldn't need to declare it as income.
