Can I ask my employer to increase the amount that they are already taking out for my HECS debt?

The reason I ask is because I will have a fringe benefit amount that will affect my repayments; however, my employer will only base the repayments amounts on my taxable income and not combined together with the fringe benefits.

This will result in having a HECS debt at tax time to be repaid.

Hello @denatured

Sure, you can!

We do recommend this to people who have Reportable fringe benefits, to help not create Tax debts and hardship for people not easily able to pay it back.

We have a great article on HECS payments in our community, with all the info you could need.
