Hi,

I was split with my ex before I moved out from my residential property (solely under my name, but mortgage under both name), I paid the mortgage and council rate, he paid me some rentals to live in that place for one year.

I was wondering do I need declare income& expense of the property, if so, whether should 100% to myself or 50%.

Thanks

Hello @ASSA

Hmmm

If the property was in your name and you were living there - you can't claim expenses as its your main residence and not available for rent.

Your Ex was living with you so the property wasn't rented out so no need to declare them paying some expenses.

No, only my ex lived in my property(title under me only), he only paid me mortgage repayment below the rental income for the property in the market. but the mortgage was under joint name since it's refinanced before with both name under Loan.

I moved out and rent somewhere to live. So will I need declare the rental property relate to the property?

Thanks

Nancy
