I am a retiree aged 65, got the Permanent Residence(Parent Visa 143) in May last year. I have no employment/business income, no investment or assets in Australia. I am not eligible to receive any Centrelink Age Pension as I have to wait for ten years under my visa. I hold an Australian Bank saving account and received $500 in 2023-2024 and I paid the premium of Private Health Insurance which was debited from the saving account. My child is my visa sponsor as well as financial supporter. I spent 3 months overseas and stay in Australia for 9 month in 2023-2024. In this regard, is it necessary for me to file a tax return? If so, how to get the tax return?
